Who am I? | The Old Testament | #009

I was born an Amorite (an idolatrous people) and lived in one of the worse cities of the Amorites. The first part of my name was the name of an Egyptian god and I was known as a prostitute in my city. There were two men I once helped and taking them up to the flat roof of my house, I had the men cover themselves completely with a pile of flax lying there to dry. In return for my help, they said to me: “Our life for yours, if you don’t talk about this business of ours; and it shall be, when Yahuwah gives us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with you.”

I, eventually, became the mother of Bo’az, who married Ruth from whose son, Obed, Yishai (Jesse) the father of Dawid (David) came. I am in the lineage of Yahushua.
